About

The Waterford District Community Foundation was formed over 20 years ago, in 1994. It was created at a time when regionalization brought many small towns under one municipal structure. As the downloading of costs shifted from the province to the municipality it became a balancing act to address the needs and concerns of all the towns, villages and hamlets within the structure.

The Foundation exists to bridge those funding shortfalls and to ensure that our community maintains its heritage and growth.

Registered as a Charitable Foundation with Revenue Canada(No. 888765260), the WDCF is authorized to issue receipts for income tax purposes for gifts of cash, securities, life insurance, and real or other property. Bequests to charitable organizations named in wills are not subject to income tax.
